Create a Memorial Website free
Having recently lost some friends and being frustrated to find that memorializing them on the web was such a temporary thing, I wanted to find a way to allow memorial sites to stay on the web permanently (at least as permanently as one might expect a decade old technology to be capable of sustaining). I heard about Community Architect which offers a white label web hosting platform and thought I'd see if I could offer free memorial sites using their technology. This is the result of that effort.If you have recently lost a loved one, first let me offer my condolences. I know what a painful process it is and I'm hopeful that you can move forward and let the pain ultimately blend into the background noise that is the struggle we all endure as part of our own survival. For me (and for many others) a healthy part of that grieving process is to share with others, if only to "hear" ourselves say the things that we cherished so much in our departed and be reminded of them.
It's my hope that this service can provide a place for you to memorialize your loved one and to keep their memory alive. It's my intent that this be a free service and that it be reliable. One word of caution, "free" is a loaded word. I have no hidden agenda or sinister ulterior motive in making this free service available, but I am merely one person in a larger supply chain. As mentioned, this service is based on a white label web hosting service and is therefore subject to terms and conditions of that entity. I've made an effort to play by the rules and am hopeful that through the normal maintenance of that property and platform this service will continue to work uninterrupted and hopefully without the distasteful marketing and advertising component that accompanies "free" offers, particularly in the web hosting arena. In short: If you experience a problem, an email, advertising, or something untoward in your experience, first, I apologize, that's specifically what I intended to avoid with this offer, and second, please communicate with me. I will try to be a helpful go between for you and the underlying hosting platform. It may be that advertisements cannot be avoided. I just want to be as clear in setting expectations as I can.
